Washington Crossing Historic Park:
Philly Touch Tours is working with staff and volunteers to design an exciting tactile experience of a specially created
bronze relief of Leutze's famous painting, "Washington Crossing the Delaware." Training of staff and volunteers took place on
March 19th with an anticipated opening of the program later in the spring/early summer.

Ellen Qiongzhao Schicktanz is a Chinese born, naturalized American citizen.
She created this bronze relief, a replicated interpretation of Leutze’s painting, specifically for Washington Crossing Historic Park Visitor Center with the intention that it be enjoyed by a fully inclusive audience.
Schicktanz has created bronzes for several other classical paintings as part of her creative process in her journey and sentiment about becoming an American citizen.
